Nike Korea has already started selling the Metcon 5 in Mat Fraser’s signature champion colorway. If you had any doubts about Nike’s design team, this should put them at ease. I think these are easily one of the best looking training shoes ever made in this colorway. They do resemble a mix of Kobe’s and Jordan cements.
- Leather heel counter has 3 circles representing each championship.
- Red stripe through the upper for the red leader shorts in the Crossfit Games.
- Icy see through outsole with Mat Fraser’s signature on the bottom (also on the tongue).
- Hyperlift inserts add heel lift for mobility.
The listed price on the website is 179,000 won, but I believe these will retail for $150 in the USA.
No concrete release date but from what I hear, they’ll be selling on the 28th of June.
