Pursuit 1 launched today – an entry level easy running shoe to compliment the Savage 1.
These have an engineered mesh upper with TPU pieces to add in structure to the shoe. Fits comfortably with a lot of toebox volume, but does run a half size big. I got a 10 and they’re perfect on me, compared to a 10.5 Savage 1 which fits similar. Midsole is a nitrogen infused supercritical EVA foam, more on the responsive side and has enough pop to get you going. Not the most cushioned but not uncomfortable by any means. 36/26mm heel-forefoot and a 10mm drop.
Weighs in right about 295g/11.2oz men’s size 10. 302g/10.7oz size 10.5.

As mentioned earlier, these are not the softest shoe to run in but I think if you’re coming from a training shoe, they’re going to be more than adequate in terms of cushioning. They’re a neutral running shoe made to fit most people’s needs. Geometry leans more into control than outright speed.
Since theyre more stable, I felt like these did best for “hybrid” type workouts with running and weights mixed. Even a lighter barbell is fine though the toe can rock you forward for some things. You could probably do a Hyrox race in these but I feel like the amount of running mixed with the stations would be too much; I would want something to take care of my legs more.

I think these do well bridging the gap between trainer and runner, as a complementary shoe for Savage 1s for fans of the brand. There are better pure running shoes out there at the price range but if you’re just looking to casually put miles in and have a versatile shoe for CrossFit/hyrox, these will be a great pickup.
